About Dr. Melissa Schiffman
Dr. Schiffman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in English and Biology, and then attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She returned to Philadelphia to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2000, Dr. Schiffman brought her enthusiasm for primary care to Greenhouse Internists.
She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has particular interests in preventative medicine, women’s health, and patient education. She strives to provide a comprehensive and collaborative approach to health care in which the patient’s lifestyle, culture, and preferences are taken into account, and in which the patient is an educated participant in decision making.
Dr. Schiffman and her family live in Mount Airy, and frequently enjoy the local restaurants, hiking trails and dog parks.
